Did you know that according to a recent CNN statistic, the average U.S. citizen spends almost $1000 on Christmas every year? In Haiti, a gift of $1000 would buy one family's emancipation out of extreme poverty.
The gift is for a program called Chemen Lavi Miyo (CLM) or "Pathway to a Better Life", and it's a program of Haiti's largest micro-finance bank - Fonkoze. It's an 20 month program that educates, empowers, and guides Haiti's poorest citizens - women and their children.
Will you take a moment this Christmas and (RE)Think how you're going to celebrate the birth of Jesus?
You really do have the power to give the gift of life!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
