a bold way to effect change
Dignity, not dependence.
empowerment, not charity.
Founded in 2001, The Haitian Timoun Foundation is a passionate grassroots movement dedicated to creating generational change in Haiti. Every single day, we operate focused on our vision, a Haiti where ALL are valued and thrive. The tireless work of our in-country partners and the incredible generosity of our donors creates a new narrative for Haitians. One that is filled with and provides a brighter future.
Our strong, trusted relationships with our Haitian partners enable us to truly hear and understand the needs of Haitian people today. As a result, we have a proven track record of investing in ways that empower and honor the Haitian people, creating opportunities that foster hope, dignity, and lasting change.
Behind the Movement
We couldn’t begin to cultivate hope or transform a single life in Haiti without the unwavering support of our passionate supporters, dedicated staff, and inspiring leadership. Each of you makes it possible to bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who believes in our mission and helps make a lasting impact on the lives of the Haitian people. Together, we are building a brighter future.

Executive director
Danette Miller joined the Haitian Timoun Foundation (HTF) as Executive Director in October 2020, driven by a deep passion for helping the most vulnerable. Never did Danette imagine that an immersion trip to Haiti with HTF in February 2015 would be so life-changing. After a 30+ year career in technology, Danette changed directions and took the opportunity to dedicate her time to working with HTF’s partners in helping and improving the lives of the people in Haiti.
